For our Preston vs. Luton prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the away side.
Luton Town are looking to continue their exceptional form as they travel up north to face Preston North End at Deepdale.
Preston North End currently sit 12th in the Championship with eleven wins, seven draws and twelve losses from thirty games this season.
PNE have had an up and down season, albeit a decent one, as they find themselves in mid-table with limited resources but their fate is not likely to exceed their current position as their consistency is not of the required standard to be considered a serious play-off contender.
They enter this game amidst a troubling run of form having won one and lost four of their last six matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 3-0 thumping away at Burnley this past weekend.
The heavy defeat at Burnley means Preston have no lost three on the bounce and they're slowly starting to slide down the table.
Their home form, unfortunately, is no better having won one and lost four of their last five matches on home soil in all competitions including each of their last three.
Things are looking fairly underwhelming for Preston at the minute and they need a big result to help energise the fanbase and the mood around the camp. It'll be hard to come by, though, as they face a Luton side bang in form.
Luton Town currently sit 4th in the Championship with thirteen wins, ten draws and seven losses from thirty games this season.
After reaching the play-offs last year, The Hatters are on course for an even more impressive season as they sit firmly inside the top six off the back of an excellent campaign so far, despite losing manager Nathan Jones to Southampton midway through the season.
They enter this game amidst a strong run of form in the league having won three and drawn one of their last four league fixtures.
Most recently, Luton were held to a 1-1 draw at Coventry City after taking the league in the 1st minute of the game through Tom Lockyer.
Away from home Luton's form has been excellent having won three and drawn one of their last four league games on the road so they should be confident coming into this one.
Luton were beaten 0-1 by Preston when the two sides clashed in the league back in August but given both Preston's current form and their own improved showings they should rectify that here.
