Swansea vs. West Brom Prediction, Tips & Stats

West Bromwich Albion are looking to barge their way into the top six in the Championship as they face Swansea City on Monday.

Swansea City currently sit 10th in the Championship with seventeen wins, twelve draws and sixteen losses from forty-five games this season.

The Swans have had a disappointing campaign on the whole having failed to seriously challenge for the play-off places despite their best efforts with a goof late run.

They enter this game in impressive form having gone unbeaten in their last eight matches, winning four of their last five, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw with Hull City.

Had Swansea found the kind of form that has led to this eight-game unbeaten run a tad earlier they may have been able to force their way into the play-off spots, but a poor start to the season has ultimately been their downfall.

Instead, they now must look towards next season and hope they can retain the services of striker Joel Piroe, who will most likely be in demand in the transfer market.

The Swans will want to end the campaign with a win but they face a tricky test here.

West Bromwich Albion currently sit 8th in the Championship with eighteen wins, twelve draws and fifteen losses from forty-five games this season.

The Baggies have had an underwhelming season on the whole having spent the majority of it on the outskirts of the top six, desperately trying to find a way to climb into the play-off mix.

They enter this game in decent form having won three and lost two of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win over Norwich City.

Their form away from home has been solid enough too, with The Baggies winning two of their last three games on the road.

West Brom were beaten 2-3 by Swansea when the two sides met back in October so they might feel apprehensive about this must-win game.

They can still make the play-offs but they must win here and hope that Blackburn Rovers beat Millwall and Sunderland fail to beat Preston North End.

If Millwall draw with Blackburn and West Brom win here that would also be enough to seal a play-off spot providing Sunderland don't beat Preston.

A lot is needed, then, and it may well be a long shot.

For our Swansea vs. West Brom prediction, we're going for a 2-2 draw.

          Swansea Team News

Joe Allen is unavailable through suspension while Jay Fulton and Liam Walsh are both doubtful.

Morgan Whittaker could be awarded a start here.

          West Brom Team News

The Baggies will be without Daryl Dike, Grady Diangana, Matt Phillips, Dara O'Shea and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Manager Carlos Corberan could opt for the same lineup that started the win over Norwich last time out.
