Watford welcome Cardiff City to Vicarage Road this Saturday. Both teams find themselves in the busy Championship midtable, needing a win to push them either closer to the Play-offs or further away from the relegation zone.

In the Third Round of the FA Cup, Cardiff took on Sheffield Wednesday. Josh Windass opened the scoring in the second minute and an own goal from Romaine Sawyers doubled Wednesday’s lead. Liam Palmer and Malik Wilks both grabbed a goal as well as Wednesday won 4 - 0. Back in the Championship, Cardiff hosted Leeds. Patrick Bamford and Daniel James both scored in the first half to give Leeds the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. Georginio Rutter then grabbed a goal late on to secure the 3 - 0 win.
The most recent outing for Cardiff was against Plymouth Argyle. Ng gave Cardiff the early lead, but a brace from Ryan Hardie and a late goal from Morgan Whittaker gave Plymouth the 3 - 1 win.
