For our West Bromwich Albion vs Millwall prediction, we are going for a home win for the Baggies.
There are plenty of places to play for as we approach the final stages of the Championship season. There is one key fixture in the battle for play-off places, as West Bromwich Albion and Millwall going head-to-head at the Hawthorns.
West Bromwich Albion is among the chasing teams for the top six - however, a win over Millwall will move the Baggies within two points of their opponents, having played a game less. The home side would have to improve from the reverse fixture between the two teams. Millwall ran out 2-1 winners in a contest which saw West Bromwich Albion lose a man due to a dismissal.
Since that game, the home side has changed management, with former Huddersfield Town manager Carlos Corberon as manager. The 39-year-old lost his first game as Baggies' boss. However, he recovered to win ten from the next 12 league games. West Brom fans will hope he can guide them to the playoffs and go one better than his Huddersfield Town side did last season.
The home side enters this game on the back of some very respectable form. The Baggies have won three from their last five and have picked up 10 points from a possible 15 in that time. The Hawthorns has become a difficult stomping ground for away teams - with ten wins and only four losses for the home side at their ground.
Jed Wallace will be of particular interest to this game. The 29-year-old will face his former club following his summer move to the Midlands. Wallace has 13 goal contributions this season for the Baggies.
As for his former club Millwall, they currently occupy the final top-six spot in the Championship after a successful season. Millwall is currently three points clear of Norwich City, having played the same amount of games.
Millwall enters this game in slightly worse form than their hosts, having won only two of their last five games. Their most recent win came against Swansea City - whereas, in their previous match, they lost 1-0 to Huddersfield Town.
The Lions have a mixed record away from home, having won seven and losing eight of their games away from the Den. The two players to keep an eye on this weekend for the visitors are Zian Flemming and Tom Bradshaw.
Flemming has 13 goals in the league this season, and Bradshaw has added to this with 17 goal contributions himself. Tom Bradshaw was on hand in Millwall's most recent victory over Swansea City. Interestingly, the visitors have the upper hand when it comes to the games played between the sides. In the 46 games played, Millwall has won 20 whilst losing 15 to the Baggies.
