West Bromwich Albion will play hosts to Swansea City at The Hawthorns this weekend with the Baggies looking for their first win of the season after a dreadful beginning to the 2023/24 season that has seen them lose twice already.
This match will also be the first home game for West Brom, as the club went on to lose away from home to Blackburn Rovers after a goal from Matty Phillips in the second half. The Midlands side then went on to lose to Stoke City in the EFL Cup first round, as Brandon Thomas-Asante equalised in the second half only to concede a goal seconds later.
Swansea drew 1-1 at home to Birmingham City in their opening game where Jerry Yates scored an equaliser in the second half of the game. The Swans produced six shots on target that day from 15 efforts and went on to have 60% of the ball too.
The Welsh side then produced eight shots on target from 22 shots towards goal against League One side Northampton Town, as Joel Piroe scored a brace with a goal in either half. Josh Ginnelly scored in the 94th minute to secure passage into round two of the EFL Cup.
