For our West Brom vs. Wigan prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.
Wigan Athletic continue their quest to climb out of the Championship relegation zone this week as they face West Bromwich Albion.
West Bromwich Albion currently sit 11th in the Championship with thirteen wins, nine draws and twelve losses from thirty-four games this season.
The Baggies have wholly underwhelmed this season as they face a tough task to finish finish in the top six after a sustained run of poor form.
They enter this game amidst a poor run of form having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five matches in the league.
Most recently The Baggies slumped to a 2-0 loss away at Hull City, a result that was particularly deflating as it followed a 2-0 win over 3rd place Middlesbrough. It now looks as though that result is little more than an anomalous win amidst a sustained decline.
The root of Albion's issues largely stem from their away form, as their form at The Hawthorns continues to be impressive with Carlos Corberan's side having won eight and drawn one of their last nine matches on home soil.
The Baggies are currently seven points shy of the play-offs and need to improve their away form is they are to reach the play-offs. For now, they have a favourable home fixture against a relegation favourite that they should win comfortably.
Wigan Athletic currently sit 23rd in the Championship with seven wins, eleven draws and sixteen losses from thirty-four games this season.
The Latics have had a difficult campaign this season having struggled for the majority of the season, and they enter this game slowly falling adrift of safety with the gap between themselves and Cardiff City in 21st now up to six points.
Their form isn't terrible having lost only one of their last five matches, but having only won once in that period there are still concerns as to how they are going to pick up enough points to survive.
They enter this game fresh off the back of a 1-1 draw against Birmingham City, a result that was fairly disappointing given they had home advantage their opponents are an equally struggling side.
Their away form is pretty concerning entering this game, too, having failed to win any of their last twelve games on the road in all competitions.
These two sides drew 1-1 when they met in the league back in August, and that's certainly a result Wigan would take here.
