The battle of the League One sides takes place in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, as Bradford City take on Peterborough United for a place in the quarter-finals.
Both Bradford City and Peterborough United have made managerial changes this season, each under different circumstances. Bradford City appointed Michael Duff after Graham Alexander left for Preston North End. Robbie Savage was the media choice for the Posh, as the former Forest Green Rovers boss departed the non-league game in favour of working with outspoken Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
Despite the change in the dugout, Bradford City have still managed to keep an excellent unbeaten run of 12 games in all competitions, but three of their last four games have ended in a 0-0 stalemate. Michael Duff has picked up 6 points from his first four games; however, a game against familiar opposition will be seen as a positive for the Bantams. The two sides met on the opening day of the League 1 season, with the hosts, Bradford City, recording a 2-0 win over a despondent Peterborough United side under Luke Williams.
The aforementioned Luke Williams was relieved of his duties following a home defeat to Doncaster Rovers, and his replacement was Robbie Savage. The move to appoint Savage was met with much criticism as to whether the former Macclesfield Town manager had the right experience to lead the Posh away from the relegation zone. Savage began his reign with an excellent 4-1 win over Ipswich Town's Under-21s and then a win over Leicester City away from home in League 1.
The Posh have gone three games without a win under their new manager, as defensive problems continue to plague the visitors for this fixture. Peterborough United have gone 11 games without a clean sheet and they face a Bradford City side who have kept five straight clean sheets.
We can't look past a Bradford City win for this game. The Posh simply can't keep a clean sheet and they face one of the more defensively solid sides from League 1 in this cup fixture.
