Crystal Palace kick off their Conference League journey with a game away at Dynamo Kyiv.
- Date: 02/10/2025
- Kick-off: 5:45pm
- Location: Arena Lublin, Lublin, Poland
Palace come into the game in excellent shape, unbeaten in their last 17 games in all competitions having beaten Liverpool in their most recent outing. Dynamo Kyiv are in a good position in the league table, but they've lost two of their last three games in Europe - a 2-0 loss to Pafos in a Champions League qualifier and a 3-1 defeat to Maccabi Tel-Aviv in a Europa League qualifier. Those games are much more comparable to a game against Palace than any domestic league game, which bodes well for the Eagles, who have two wins and two draws away from home in all competitions this season.
Dynamo haven't been going all that strongly in domestic competitions in recent weeks either, with the Ukrainians banking only one win from their last four games. Given they're also unable to play games in their home stadium due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it looks like the odds are stacked against them in this one.
All of Dynamo Kyiv's last five games and three of Crystal Palace's last five games have seen over 2.5 goals scored, so we should hopefully see a few goals fly in on Thursday night.
Palace have had a few injury issues of late but they have a fairly fit squad for this one, with the likes of Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino fit and ready.
The Eagles have been soaring under Oliver Glasner for months now and are yet to lose a single game this season. Dynamo Kyiv isn't the easiest baptism in the Conference League, but as things stand, Palace look like the standout favourite for the entire competition.
