For our Accrington vs. Forest Green prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the home side.
Two sides battling to avoid relegation to League Two meet in League One this weekend as Accrington Stanley face Forest Green Rovers.
Accrington Stanley currently sit 21st in League One with seven wins, ten draws and fourteen losses from thirty-one games this season.
Stanley started the season in decent fashion but a dismal last few months has seen them slide gradually down the table as they now find themselves in the thick of the relegation battle and fighting to climb out of the bottom four.
They enter this game amongst a relatively solid run of form having won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five matches in the league.
Most recently Accrington drew 0-0 away at Burton Albion, a point that they'll be fairly pleased with considering the revival of Burton's form of late.
Accrington's home form is solid enough having won two of their last four matches on home soil in the league having beaten Shrewsbury Town in their most recent home game.
Accrington sit level on points with Morecambe in 20th with two games in hand, so they're right on the verge of emerging from the relegation zone and a win at home against bottom of the league Forest Green should take them out of the relegation zone.
Forest Green Rovers currently sit rock bottom of the league table with five wins, eight draws and twenty-one losses from thirty-four games this season.
It's been a fairly dismal campaign for Forest Green this time around having been promoted from League Two last season. They've struggled for the majority of the season and are looking increasingly certain to go down as the weeks pass by.
They enter this game amidst a grim run of form having failed to win any of their last thirteen league matches while drawing two and losing three of their last five.
Most recently Forest Green claimed a decent point at home to Lincoln City in a 1-1 draw.
Their away form provides little cause for optimism unfortunately, with Duncan Ferguson's side drawing one and losing three of their last four games away from home.
Forest Green did beat Accrington when the two sides met in the league back in September so they can take some confidence from that despite their poor form.
Forest Green will need to perform a miracle to remain in League One this season and to do so they'll need to start picking up wins at a rapid rate. A win against a fellow relegation rival would go a long way.
