The Tykes have had a fine campaign after a surging run of form following the World Cup break has seen them catapulted into the top six places as they look to seal a play-off place in their final seven games of the season.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won three and lost two of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Burton Albion, a side currently in the relegation scrap.
Their form at home is impervious, however, with Michael Duff's side winning each of their last seven consecutive matches on home soil by an aggregate scoreline of 24-5.
Barnsley are eight points clear of Derby in 7th with seven games remaining and should confirm a top six spot from here barring an extraordinary collapse. They need to get back in the win column following last week's defeat and they should do that here.

The Shrews have had a decent season in League One but have just fallen short of the required standard to seriously contend for the play-offs this time around.
They've struggled with consistency for the most part and they enter this game having lost four of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 0-3 battering at the hands of Peterborough United.
The defeat to Peterborough was their third loss on the bounce, with the three defeats coming by an aggregate scoreline of 11-0.
Their form away from home is poor, too, having drawn one and lost four of their last five matches on the road.
Shrewsbury were beaten 1-0 by Barnsley back in November and in all honesty they will likely suffer a similar fate here, only with the loss to be slightly more comprehensive which could be reflected in the scoreline.
