Two North West sides meet in League One this weekend as Bolton Wanderers face Blackpool.
Bolton Wanderers currently sit 3rd in League One with ten wins, two draws and three losses from fifteen games so far this season.
The Trotters are having an impressive campaign thus far as they desperately seek what has been an elusive promotion campaign back to the Championship.
They're coming into this game amidst an excellent run of form having won all of their last five games in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 2-0 win away at Shrewsbury Town.
Goals from Paris Maghoma and Aaron Morley sealed what was a professional and routine win for the home side as they continue to surge up the league table with one eye firmly on the top two places.
Their form at home has been decent too, with the Trotters losing just one of their last five league games on home soil.
Having now kept two clean sheets in a row they'll be hoping to build on some impressive defensive showings having been slightly more lapse defensively than they would have liked at times this season.
Either way, things are looking very rosey for Bolton right now and they're coming into this one expecting to chalk another three points on the board.
Blackpool currently sit 8th in League One with six wins, six draws and four losses from sixteen games so far this season.
The Tangerines are having what they would regard as a slightly disappointing campaign given they're further outside of the play-off mix than they would have liked at this stage, but given they're still within touching distance there's still plenty of cause for optimism.
Their form in the league has been up and down and they come into this one having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games.
Their most recent league game saw them play out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Fleetwood Town, a result that would have stung after the Seasiders fought their was back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, only to concede a 90th minute equaliser.
Regardless, they should take confidence from the spirit they showed in that game and use to to spur them on in what will be a hugely tough game in Bolton here.
Blackpool are a live underdog here and should not be written off, but Bolton are on fire right now and it's tough to see them failing to win.
For our Bolton vs. Blackpool prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
