For our Bristol Rovers vs. Burton prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
Bristol Rovers continue their search for a much-needed win as they face Burton Albion in League One this weekend.
Bristol Rovers currently sit 14th in League One with ten wins, eight draws and thirteen losses from thirty-one games this season.
Rovers have had a very up and down season thus far and have been somewhat puzzling given they've often demonstrated an ability to compete with the league's better sides before consistently failing when facing sides they should be backing themselves to beat.
They enter this game amidst a very poor run of form having drawn one and lost four of their last five matches in the league, the most recent of which was a 0-0 draw with Ipswich Town.
In fairness, the Ipswich result was not a bad one given Ipswich are a good side gunning for automatic promotion but it still extended their winless run to six matches when they're in dire need of a win.
Their home record isn't much better, either, having won only once in their last five matches on home soil.
Bristol Rovers should very much expect themselves to beat Burton on their own patch and if they don't questions will be asked. It's not a given, but it's one they should be winning.
Burton Albion currently sit 19th in League One with eight wins, seven draws and fifteen losses from thirty games this season.
Burton have had a rollercoaster of a season thus far. After struggling immensely for the majority of the campaign and looking a dead cert for relegation they now find themselves outside of the bottom four after a strong run of form.
They enter this game having won three of their last four matches in the league, having lost their most recent game in a 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth.
The defeat will be a tough one to swallow for Burton have conceded in the 92nd minute, so they'll have to regroup quickly here ahead of a big game.
They've only won one of their last four league games on the road so they're away form is not particularly encouraging here.
Burton were battered 0-4 by Bristol Rovers when the two sides met in the league back in March so they'll likely be determined to get one back. This game should certainly be more competitive and with Burton three points clear of the relegation zone they have a huge chance to open up a sizeable gap between themselves and the danger zone.
