Burton Albion will play hosts to Exeter City in League One this weekend at the Pirelli Stadium with the club still down in 20th after a solid return to form in recent games.
Despite the poor form, Burton have beaten Oxford United 2-0 at home and gone on to defeat Fleetwood Town 3-2 last weekend in a thrilling game that saw Fleetwood equalise in the 94th minute, only for Charlie Kirk to score a winner off the bench for the away side in the 96th minute of the game.
It does, however, keep the club down in 20th and above Accrington Stanley in the relegation zone by two points. At the same time, the club head into this one with a game extra played over Accrington, which could end up forcing the Brewers into the drop zone over time.
As for Exeter, they are in 11th after losing to Charlton Athletic last time out and defeating MK Dons a few weeks back in a comfortable 2-0 win at Stadium MK. They are now in the top half but narrowly above Charlton in 12th after a loss to them, while Exeter are also behind the top six in the playoff spots by six points.
