For our Burton vs. Wycombe prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
Burton Albion's League One survival bid continues as they face play-off chasing Wycombe Wanderers this weekend.
Burton Albion currently sit 19th in League One with nine wins, eight draws and sixteen losses from thirty-three games this season.
Burton's season has been slightly miraculous with Staffordshire side looking all but gone in the early weeks of the season before a change in manager improved their fortunes drastically, and they now find themselves with survival in their own hands heading into the final stretch of the season.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 4-0 hammering away at Ipswich Town.
Given The Tractor Boys are 3rd in the table and gunning for automatic promotion one can cut The Brewers some slack for such a result.
At home, though, their fortunes have been much more encouraging having won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five matches on home soil.
Burton have the advantage of having played two games less than all teams in the relegation zone so they should fancy their chances of survival. This is a tough game, however, as their opponents are chasing a top six finish but if they can take a point from this they'll be delighted.
Wycombe Wanderers currently sit 7th in League One with seventeen wins, six draws and eleven losses from thirty-four games this season.
After a slow start to the season, Wycombe has been resurgent since the resumption following the World Cup break having delivered a run of form far more resemblant of what took them to the play-off final last season.
They have, though, been hampered by the departure of manager Gareth Ainsworth to Queens Park Rangers and their form has stuttered somewhat as they enter this game having won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three matches.
They did win their most recent game though, 2-0 against Fleetwood Town, so they'll be hoping that means their momentum is now back on track.
Their away form is pretty good coming into this game too, having won three and lost one of their last four matches on the road.
Wycombe battered Burton 3-0 on the opening day of the season but given they're travelling away from home they should expect a much more difficult game here. It's certainly one they can win, but Burton could be good value for a point here.
