Cambridge United are back at the Abbey Stadium this weekend to play hosts to Bristol Rovers in League One with the home side heading into this one after a loss at home last time out.
It's been a topsy-turvy season for Cambridge so far in the new campaign with them defeating Oxford United on the opening weekend after a goal each from Jack Lankester and a finish from Gassan Ahadme in the first half of a 2-0 win.
They would then go on to lose to Sutton United in the first round of the EFL Cup on penalties after a brace from Fejiri Okenabirhie. The club would also have 16 shots that day. The U's returned to the win column with another 2-0 victory, as Paul Digby and Ahadme scored a goal each in the game against Fleetwood Town.
On the other hand, at home, Cambridge fell to a 2-1 loss to Stevenage, as Elias Kachunga equalised before Stevenage took the lead just two minutes later. It does still leave them fifth in the table early on in League One with the club letting in two goals and scoring five of their own.
As for Bristol Rovers, they beat Charlton Athletic at The Valley in the last game with a goal from Scott Sinclair and a winner in the 98th minute from Luke McCormick. Prior to this, the club would draw with Barnsley at home and Portsmouth too, both by 1-0 scorelines Scott Sinclair bagged again that game against the Tykes, as Luke Thomas scored against Portsmouth.
It makes this one a close game to call, but we head for a victory for the U's.
