Leyton Orient will head on the road to The Valley this weekend to meet with Charlton Athletic in what is the club's first season back in League One for nine years after a fantastic League Two campaign.
Despite an excellent campaign in the fourth tier, the London outfit head into the League One season off the back of a tough handful of games in preseason.
The club would draw with Billericay Town at their ground before a 1-1 draw they actually met with Charlton in a friendly in Malaga - the game ended 1-1. Leyton Orient would then lose to Chelmsford and Ebbsfleet by conceding a total of five goals, as they then drew 1-1 with Dagenham & Redbridge. The club would also lose 1-0 to Bishop's Stortford from the National League North.
Leyton Orient would win 26 of their games in League Two and end up finishing six points clear of Stevenage in second place. They also lost just seven games, but the club would suffer just one of those losses in the first 17 games of the campaign. The League One champions also secured 61 goals in the season, but with just 34 let in, they were the best defensive side in the league.
Charlton finished 10th in the League One season with 16 wins and the same amount of defeats as well. The club, however, managed to score an impressive 70 goals this season with 66 goals let in.
