Charlton Athletic and Morecambe are set for another battle at The Valley this Saturday with the London side hanging onto 10th with the Shrimps still fighting for life in the division for next season with them down in 22nd.
Morecambe did get another win during the week with Cole Stockton's late finish handing them all three points at home to Wycombe Wanderers. It was another goal for him this season and it was just Morecambe's eighth win of the campaign.
They now sit behind Cambridge United in 21st by two points with the U's also having a game in hand. Now, with just three games left on the clock, the Shrimps will likely need at least one more win and hope that Cambridge lose their remaining four games.
As for Charlton, they have been clear of the drop zone for most of 2023 after a tough start to life in the division this season. Charlton defeated Burton Albion 3-2 earlier in the month before a stunning 6-0 loss at home to Ipswich, but the club rebounded with a 1-0 win over MK Dons last time out.
