For our Derby vs. Charlton prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
Derby County continue their play-off push at home to Charlton Athletic in League One this weekend.
Derby County currently sit 5th in League One with fifteen wins, nine draws and six losses from thirty games this season.
The Rams have been up and down form-wise this season but after a slow start to the season they looked as though they'd finally kicked into gear as they embarked upon an impressive unbeaten run that propelled them up the table.
However, they've started to falter in the last week as they enter this game winless in their last two outings having lost 3-2 to fellow play-off rivals Wycombe Wanderers before drawing 1-1 with Lincoln City last time out.
There will be slight concern amongst the fanbase in light of a couple of disappointing results, but their overall position is still extremely strong and they can look to bounce back quickly here.
Their home form in the league is still very impressive too, with The Rams winning four and drawing one of their last five matches on home soil.
Derby need a win here in order to exorcise the disappointment from the last two matches and given the strength of their home form they should be able to come out on top here.
Charlton Athletic currently sit 11th in League One with ten wins, ten draws and ten losses from thirty games this season.
The Addicks have had a fairly forgettable season in League One this time around as they find themselves in the middle of the table with few prospects of promotion and in little danger of being dragged into the relegation battle.
They enter this game amidst a decent run of form having won three and drawn one of their last five matches in the league, the most recent of which was a 1-0 win away at bottom of the league Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.
The win meant Charlton have now won each of their last three consecutive games on the road in the league as they travel to Derby in a good vein of away form.
They can also take confidence from the fact they triumphed over The Rams when the two sides met in the league back in August with Charlton coming out 1-0 winners.
A repeat result will be tough here but they'll feel as though they're facing Derby at the right time with their form wavering slightly. This could be a competitive encounter considering Charlton's away form but Derby are the favourites for all three points.
