Derby County's play-off push enters its final stages this weekend as they face Portsmouth in League One.
Derby County currently sit 6th in League One with twenty-one wins, twelve draws and eleven losses from forty-four games this season.
The Rams have had a largely underwhelming season having been expected to contest for the title coming into the campaign, but things could still end in celebration as they have a play-off berth in their own hands entering the final two games of the season.
They're coming into this game in good form having gone unbeaten in their last five matches while winning their last two on the bounce.
Their most recent game saw them claim a 1-0 win over Burton Albion, a result that followed a 2-1 win over Exeter City.
However, their form at home is a major concern heading into this game with The Rams having won just one of their last five matches on home soil.
Derby are in the driving seat as far as top six is concerned with their fate in their own hands, but they have a difficult final two matches as they face Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the campaign. Therefore, this is a must-win for The Rams and there's no way around that.
Portsmouth currently sit 8th in League One with seventeen wins, seventeen draws and ten losses from forty-four games this season.
Pompey have had a vastly underwhelming campaign having failed to properly challenge for promotion despite starting the campaign like a house on fire.
Their total collapse in form has led them spending the second half of the campaign trying to claw their way back into promotion contention, an attempt that was ultimately unsuccessful.
They enter this game unbeaten in nine matches but having drawn four of their last five it's clear where their late attempts at stealing a play-off place have become unstuck.
They did win their most recent game, however, in a 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley so it does seem as though they're determined to end the season strongly.
Their away form has been fairly solid of late too, with Pompey winning two and drawing three of their last five games on the road.
These two sides drew 0-0 when they met back in November and we could be in for a similarly competitive affair here - but hopefully a more entertaining one.
Derby should bring more intensity to the table given what they have on the line but things don't always work out that way.
For our Derby vs. Portsmouth prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
