Lincoln City will take on Burton Albion this weekend at the LNER Stadium with both sides sitting outside of the top half of the table following on from a poor start to the season with both teams playing during the week.
Lincoln met with Wolves U21s in the Football League Trophy on Tuesday night, as Hakeeb Adelakun scored in the first half before a goal late on from Jovon Makama. Before this, however, the club would lose to Peterborough United in a 2-0 away loss, as the club would also be 1-0 down to Leyton Orient before the game was halted and eventually suspended - this match will now take place later in the season.
This now means the only victory over the past six games in the league for the Imps has seen them defeat the out-of-form Cheltenham Town in last place where Lasse Sorensen scored twice in the first half.
As for Burton Albion, they are down in 18th ahead of this one after what has been another terrible start to a League One campaign for them. In fact, ever since dropping down from the Championship, form has been tough to go by for the club. They are coming into this match off the back a two 2-1 victories in a row where they managed to beat Wigan Athletic with a brace from Joe Powell before beating Cambridge United by the same scoreline where Josh Walker and Deji Oshilaja.
