MK Dons vs Portsmouth Prediction, Tips & Stats

MK Dons will welcome Portsmouth to Stadium MK this weekend with the home side aiming to remain outside of the drop zone after moving up into 19th in recent weeks with Pompey up into ninth.

It's been a very topsy-turvy season for Portsmouth, as they now come into this game with them narrowly behind the playoffs after previously being as low as 13th in the table just a few weeks back. This comes after Owen Dale's winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Forest Green sees them on a four-game unbeaten run since their 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.

The club also head into this game with a 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley and a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers to boast of, as they drew 2-2 with Port Vale not long ago.

As for MK Dons, they have managed to defeat Morecambe and Accrington 1-0 each in recent games to rocket them out of the bottom three. The Dons now come into this one off the back of drawing 2-2 with Wycombe Wanderers.

MK Dons have a few injuries to deal with after their 2-2 draw with Wycombe last time out. They will be without Mohamed Eisa for this one after he was booked and came off with an injury, although it seems as if Jonathan Leko will be fit enough to start, despite coming off soon after his equaliser against Wycombe. Carlon Grant may not make it back in time either, but Josh McEachran should be fit to play here. Lewington, Tucker and Stewart should all be fit to play as well. Will Grigg likely starts now as a result with Nathan Holland also expected to be back in the side as well.

Portsmouth do not have that many injuries to deal with in this one. Dane Scarlett likely starts the game after missing the last outing, while Marlon Pack came off the bench in the 1-0 win over Forest Green and should get minutes in this one. Denver Hume is also set to play in this game. Louis Thompson is also likely to play here as well with Di'Shon Benard. Ryley Towler and Toby Steward are both out injured. Owen Dale scored the winning goal against Forest Green last time out and should feature here. Colby Bishop will remain in the side too.
