Peterborough vs. Bolton Prediction Tips & Stats

For our Peterborough vs. Bolton prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Two sides chasing the play-offs meet in League One this weekend as Peterborough United welcome Bolton Wanderers to London Road.

Peterborough United currently sit 7th in League One with fourteen wins, two draws and eleven losses from twenty-seven games this season.

The Posh surged and wavered numerous times this season as they've failed to maintain a consistent run of form. They have, though, managed to recovered well from a long barren period as they now find themselves in the middle of a good run of form.

They enter this game having won four and lost one of their last five matches in League One, the most recent of which was a cruising 2-0 win away at Forest Green Rovers.

Their home is much more discouraging, though, with The Posh having won two and lost three of their last five matches in all competitions on home soil.

Peterborough sit just three points behind Barnsley in 6th and are well placed to make a strong run at the top six. It is, however, a competitive field and they need to continue winning games at their recent rate. A game against Bolton will be a tough three points.

Bolton Wanderers currently sit 5th in League One with fifteen wins, eight draws and seven losses from thirty games in League One this season.

The Trotters were wildly inconsistent in the early part of the season but have very much found their feet in recent months and now look a prime play-off contender as they appear to be peaking at the right time.

They enter this game amidst an excellent run of form having won four and lost one of their last five matches in League One, the most recent of which was a 1-0 win at home to Cheltenham Town.

Their away form has been much more mixed, though, having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five league games on the road.

Bolton beat Peterborough 1-0 when the two sides locked horns in the league back in September and given their form they'll fancy themselves again here.

A win here would be a huge statement in terms of Bolton's play-off push but it won't be easy. Expect a close game with just a goal, if at all, separating the two sides.
