Peterborough United and Charlton Athletic meet at the Weston Homes Stadium this weekend with both sides coming into this game off the back of narrow victories on gameday one in League One.
Charlton edged past Leyton Orient in the first outing of League One, as George Dobson scored a goal in the second half after just a few seconds. At The Valley, the London side had 13 shots that day and five efforts on goal with 49% of the ball.
Last season, it was another poor campaign for Charlton. The club had just 16 wins from 46 outings last time out, with 14 draws and 16 losses too. However, quite incredibly, only those in the top four of League One scored more goals than Charlton last season with them netting 70 times. This attacking intent did, however, bring in 66 goals let in.
Charlton's solid start to the season was rapidly ended when they met with Newport County in the EFL Cup, as Daniel Kanu scored in the first half to give them the lead. Charlton would go on to have 74% of the ball but conceded three goals in the last 30 minutes.
As for Peterborough, they narrowly beat Reading 1-0 with a finish in the first half from Ephron Mason-Clark. The club then edged past League Two's Swindon Town in the EFL Cup first round with a penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw in normal time - Joel Randall scored for the Posh that day.
The club did end up in the playoffs last season with 24 victories from 46 games, although with 17 defeats too, the Posh finished 21 points below the automatic promotion spots.
