Just three days on from meeting each other in the EFL Cup second round, Portsmouth and Peterborough will face off in a League One battle with the Posh leaving Fratton Park with the victory on Tuesday night.
This game also takes place at Fratton Park and the south coast side will be desperate to move on from the penalty shootout loss during the week. David Ajiboye was the hero once for Peterborough that day against Pompey, as his first goal gave the Posh the lead.
A finish from Christian Saydee would force a penalty shootout soon after, but Portsmouth will be gutted by their efforts in front of goal after having 17 shots and seven on target with Peterborough only having three shots on target from 11 efforts.
Charlie O'Connell was also sent off for the away team in the EFL Cup battle on Tuesday, but he is allowed to play here as EFL Cup suspensions don't run through league matches.
Just like was the case in the midweek battle between these two, not much separates them in League One with nine points each. Portsmouth are ahead on goals difference having put together the best defensive run in the league so far with just one goal let in. They have scored just six goals, which is one less than Peterborough's tally of seven.
Pompey are still unbeaten in regular time across all their games, having drawn 0-0 in consecutive games recently. They also drew 3-3 with Fulham U21s in the Football League Trophy group stages and beat Forest Green on the road in the EFL Cup first round. Other results this season have seen Portsmouth draw 1-1 with Bristol Rovers before smashing Leyton Orient on the road in a 4-0 win and drawing with Stevenage but beating Cheltenham Town.
As for Peterborough, their only losses this season have seen them lose to Northampton Town away from home before a defeat to Derby County at home. The Posh have also beat Barnsley and Charlton Athletic this season.
