Wycombe Wanderers will welcome Cheltenham Town the Adams Park Stadium with the club now mathematically unable to get into the playoffs spot with the Robins also safe from relegation after last weekend's hammering from Oxford United.
Oxford themselves are still fighting relegation and despite battering Cheltenham 4-0, the Robins are unable to be pulled into the bottom four with a nine-point gap on Morecambe in 21st. Cheltenham sit with 50 points with them now losing 20 games and winning 13 games of their own. At the same time, they have now let in 59 goals and scored 40 too.
Prior to their loss to Oxford, the club defeated Forest Green Rovers 3-1 and drew back-to-back games with Ipswich Town and MK Dons to secure themselves in League One for another season. The Robins can still finish as high as 13th in the table with them only six points behind 13th-placed Shrewsbury Town.
It's been a disastrous time for Wycombe since the departure of Gareth Ainsworth. Matt Bloomfield has not been able to get his side into the top six this season with them now seven points behind Derby County with just six left on the table. It means they can still finish in eighth ahead of Portsmouth with them five points behind them.
The club suffered their 16th defeat of the season last weekend with Lincoln City beating them 2-0 at home. They did manage to defeat Cambridge United 2-1 just before that but defeats to Barnsley, Morecambe and Ipswich Town in the past month.
It means there is very little to play for in this game but we are backing a Wycombe win.
