Colchester United and Northampton Town are set to meet in League Two this weekend as the U's head into this game without a manager after the loss of Matt Bloomfield to Wycombe Wanderers.
Colchester have been in topsy-turvy form since Bloomfield took over in September, as he guided the club to just eight wins from 28 outings. It totalled a win ratio of just 31.1% although the excellent form of the club in January saw Bloomfield claim the Manager of the Month award.
What's more, Colchester are now up into 19th and way clear of the bottom four after previously sitting bottom of the table. In fact, they are now above the bottom four by five points, although they have played the most games in the division this season with 33.
Last time out in Bloomfield's last game as boss, the club were defeated by Carlisle United 1-0. At the same time, they have still managed to secure two wins n the past three weeks, as Bloomfield guided his side to a 2-1 win over Hartlepool United and a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town away from home.
As for Northampton, they are winless in February with them drawing against Walsall, Rochdale and Wimbledon before a loss to Grimsby last weekend at home. It's seen Jon Brady's men drop into fifth from third, although they do still have a game in hand over Carlisle United and Stockport County just above them, and they do trail County by just two points.
