Two sides at opposite ends of the League Two table meet this weekend as Colchester United face Notts County.
Colchester United currently sit 20th in League Two with two wins, one draw and five losses from eight games so far this season.
It's been a tough, but not unexpectedly so, start to the season for Colchester who find themselves in and amongst the relegation places in the early portion of the season.
They're coming into this game very much out of form having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five games in all competitions, the most recent of which as a 2-1 loss away at Crewe Alexandra.
The loss at Crewe was a disappointing one as Colchester will have felt they were good value for a point at least having enjoyed 60% of the ball while registering 21 shots on goal in total.
Still, they can still take confidence from their performance despite the poor result and they'll need it here against one of the league's better sides.
They've taken four points from their last two league games on home soil so they'll have to hope that their home crowd can spur them to a huge result here because the odds ar every much stacked against them.
Notts County currently sit top of League Two with six wins, two draws and one loss from their first nine games of the season.
Newly promoted Notts County have taken League Two by storm this season and it's not to the surprise of many given a number of punters had tipped them to seal a second consecutive promotion coming into this season.
They're entering this game in very good shape having won four and drawn one of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 4-3 win away at Forest Green Rovers.
Goals from Daniel Crowley, Macauley Langstaff, John Bostock and David McGoldrick were enough to seal all three points for the home side and while the scoreline was closer than they would have hoped for the result extended their impressive run of form.
Their form away from home has been decent of late, with County having won two and drawn two of their last four games on the road.
Notts County are firm favourites for this game and are vastly superior side to Colchester so barring a surprise they'll take three points from this one.
For our Colchester vs. Notts County prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
