Accrington Stanley are looking to put their marker down on the playoff spots in League Two before Christmas with the club sitting up in seventh after a solid start to the season before heading to Broadfield to meet with Crawley Town.
Stanley are heading into this one having failed to win any of the past two games, having lost 1-0 to Colchester United at the Wham Stadium in their last League One outing. They would then go on to draw with Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup last time out, as Shaun Whalley and Seamus Conneely came back to earn a replay.
Their last win was over Wimbledon when Joe Pritchard scored a goal in either half, as Bradley Hills and Tommy Leigh also scored a goal each. Another win against MK Dons came throughout October, thanks to a first half finish from Whalley. Further victories for Stanley saw Josh Andrews and Whalley score more goals against Grimsby Town, while Andrews bagged a brace in the 2-1 win over Forest Green, as he aims to snatch the League Two top scorer award too.
Stanley now sit in seventh with eight wins and six losses, while they have let in 21 goals and scored 24 of their own with two draws on the board too.
As for Crawley, it's once again been a topsy-turvy season for them so far. The club are in 14th in League Two and they are out of the FA Cup after a loss last weekend to Notts County where Danilo Orsi scored a goal in either half until a late finish from County.
Further losses to Crewe Alexandra, Forest Green and Wrexham sees them down in the bottom half of the table, while their only win in the past month has seen them beat Aston Villa U21s in the Football League Trophy with thanks to goals from Jack Roles twice over and Kamarai Simon-Swyer.
The last win for Crawley was against last-placed Sutton United in a game that saw Oris, Laurence Maguire and Adam Campbell all score a goal each.
