16th will meet with 17th in League Two this weekend with Crewe Alexandra set to welcome Grimsby Town to the Mornflake Stadium off the back of a midweek draw for Crewe and a draw for Grimsby in the FA Cup last weekend.
It's been a tough run for Grimsby in the past few months, but they have still managed to beat Stockport County on New Year's Day in a 1-0 win at Blundell Park. The club then went on to beat League One's Burton Albion in the next game, but they were hammered 5-0 by Swindon Town just two weeks on from beating Stockport.
A two-week break would come for Grimsby soon after until Paul Hurst's men drew with Luton Town in the FA Cup fourth round last time out. Gavan Holhan gave his side the lead before Hurst's side fell behind. Harry Clifton soon equalised after just a minute of going behind, however.
Grimsby fans won't be too concerned about relegation these days with the gap now nine points above Gillingham in 23rd and with two games in hand to play on them. The club could see a gap of 15 in the next few weeks if they win their games in hand.
As for Crewe, Connor O'Riordan scored from the back in a 1-1 draw with Stockport last time out. It has moved Lee Bell's side up into 16th now and like Grimsby, the fears of relegation have eased tremendously in the past few months
