Crewe Alexandra and Harrogate Town will clash at the Mornflake Stadium this Saturday with the home side up into third and a healthy distance on this weekend's opponents after a sensational season this campaign.
It's no doubt been Crewe's best season since dropping into League Two two seasons ago, as they managed to hover just above the relegation zone for most of last year. This time around, however, the club have won 16 times and are behind Stockport County in first by only four points.
County do, however, have a game in hand on them to boast of with Alexandra having lost only one more game with seven defeats on the board. Crewe come into this game with the fourth most goals scored too with 59 netted from 32 games, while they have also managed to let in 45 goals too.
In fact, Crewe have got themselves right back amongst the title runners this past week by defeating Crawley Town last weekend with a second-half finish from Rio Adebisi. Alexandra then went on to stun the league leaders Stockport at Edgeley Park with another finish from Mickey Demetriou and a goal each from Ed Turns and Josh Austerfield.
Lee Bell's men have also drawn 0-0 with Tranmere Rovers in the past three weeks, meaning they are unbeaten throughout February and since a loss to Salford City at the end of January.
Harrogate are having a positive season in their own way, albeit, while currently sitting outside of the playoffs and adrift of Crewe by 10 points. Nevertheless, Harrogate are only behind the playoff spots by goals difference, as Notts County have scored considerably more than them in seventh with 65 on the board, although Harrogate have a better defensive record with just 46 let in.
The club played out one of the most insane games and the highest-scoring fixture in League Two's history last time out, as they were stunend at Field Mill to fellow promotion hopefuls Mansfield Town. George Thomson and Abraham Odoh netted goals each that day, but with the match finished in a stunning 9-2 win for Mansfield.
