Gillingham and Bradford City will meet this weekend with the away side aiming to get themselves right back into the playoff mixture just as the Gills look to continue their stunning run of form that has seen them jump into 20th ahead of this game.
There is absolutely no way on planet earth that anybody could have predicted that Gillingham would secure four wins six wins from eight games at one stage in this season after the club's beginning to the season. Gillingham would sit rock bottom of the table for many weeks in League Two and got to stage where they had scored the fewest goals at this stage in a League Two since over the past decade (six in 22).
Now, however, they head into this game with eight games won from 31 outings and 21 goals scored with just 35 going in at the other end. The Gills have managed to win their past three in a row, having beaten Grimsby Town, Rochdale and Wimbledon in recent games. Crawley Town also fell to a defeat to the club at the start of February, as only Mansfield Town have beaten them this month.
As for Bradford, they are down in eighth after a topsy-turvy 2023 so far. They can, however, jump all the way up into fifth with a win in this one, but they will need to overturn a huge goals difference over Stockport County to do that. The Bantams will move above Mansfield Town and Salford City with a win, however.
