Grimsby Town and Doncaster Rovers are set to clash here at Blundell Park with both sides sitting right by one another in the fight to survive in League Two which now makes this game of great importance for both teams.
Although these two sides sit outside of the relegation zone, there is still a massive chance that they get dragged into the bottom two down in the fourth tier. Currently, it's Grimsby who sit closer to the bottom two than Doncaster, as they are to within only six points of Forest Green Rovers in 23rd with only six wins on the board being just one more than Forest Green's tally.
Grimsby also come into this game with another loss on the board which has now extended their winless run to five games. In this run, the club have been the worst defensive record by losing at Blundell Park to Walsall 6-1 before a stunning 5-5 draw at home to Notts County - this means 11 goals were let in from back-to-back home games. Tranmere Rovers then defeated them before a 0-0 draw with Accrington Stanley and a 3-1 loss to at home to the league leaders, Stockport County.
Doncaster are no exactly in a better position with them sitting only four points clear of Grimsby in 21st spot. Rovers have managed to win three more games with nine in total on the board, although they have also managed to lose 16 games and let in a worrying 56 goals.
This game could go any way, given how close they are in the table, so we're backing Danny Rose to get his 11th goals of the season by scoring the game's first goal.
