Harrogate vs Gillingham Prediction, Tips & Stats

Harrogate Town and Gillingham will battle in League Two this weekend with the two separated by just one place in the table as 20th meets with 21st in the table as either side continues to move further away from the drop.

Gillingham have turned their form around in sensational style over the past few weeks. They did, however, lost to Bradford City last time out to end a winning run that saw them move into 20th in the table and way off the foot of the table.

The Gills had previously won their past three games and only lost to Mansfield in February with them also defeating Crawley Town at the start of the month. The club then went on to lose to Mansfield but defeated Grimsby Town, Rochdale and Wimbledon all in a row during last month.

As for Harrogate, they are winless since defeating Carlisle at Brunton Park at the start of February. They have only gone on to lose to Stockport County and Swindon Town in the last few weeks since that result, but by also drawing with Crewe Alexandra, Grimsby and Salford City, they head into this game on another lengthy winless run.

Harrogate are now coming into this with a gap of just five points on 23rd-placed Crawley Town and there is still a huge chance they get roped back into the bottom two with Crawley having two games in hand to play over them.

            Harrogate team news

Harrogate are set to come into this game off the back of registering now new injuries in their squad. Warren Burrell should remain here as well with George Thomson set to come back into the squad as well. Sam Folrain is back too. Rory McArdle and Harvey Giles make up more names returning to Harrogate's team this weekend for Simon Weaver to use. Luke Armstrong is set to feature here and Muldoon will lineup here alongside him after Armstrong's goal last weekend. We also expect to see Grant on the wing once more after moving away from the forward duo. Eastman, Foulds, O'Connor and Sims are all fit in defence and should feature here.

            Gillingham team news

Gillingham's positive run of form has come with a few injuries. Will Wright is back now, however, and likely comes into the side here in replace for one of the defenders. Ethan Coleman is set to start as well after missing the game against Bradford and there is a return to fitness from Tom Nichols here too, as Hakeeb Adelakun returns to the squad too. Jake Turner and Joseph Gbode both missed the last outing and could feature here. Tristan Abrahams is set to play here as well. Alexander, Masterson and Ehmer should remain in defence, but O'Brien should drop out of the attack after playing the last few games. Hawkins is still fit and will stay up top. Williams and O'Keefe should stay here.
