Newport County go in search of a much-needed win this weekend as they face Walsall in League Two.
Newport County currently sit 20th in League Two with four wins, two draws and seven losses from thirteen games so far this season.
It's been a disappointing first two months of the campaign for a Newport side whom which little was expected of coming into the season.
Their form, though, has not been terrible of late as they come into this game having won two and drawn two of their last four matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 2-0 loss away at Swindon Town.
Defeat at Swindon was not unexpected given they're a side gunning for the playoffs and Newport did not perform poorly despite the result so they can come into this game with their confidence in tact.
Their home form has not been particularly impressive as they enter this one having won just one of their last five league games on their own patch and having lost to Harrogate Town in their latest home game they'll be desperate to make amends in front of their own supporters.
This is a game that Newport need to get a result from and a loss is unlikely to go down well amongst the fanbase.
Walsall currently sit 13th in League Two with five wins, three draws and five losses from thirteen games so far this season.
The Saddlers have done about what most thought they would do in the first two months of the season as they find themselves comfortably in mid table having been very inconsistent.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form in the league having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 4-1 hammering go Gillingham.
A hat-trick from Isaac Hutchinson and a goal from Freddie Draper sealed a magnificent three points against a promotion contender in what was Walsall's best performance of the season.
They're now coming into this one with the wind in their sails and their away form has been fairly respectable of late having won two of their last four league games on the road.
Walsall will definitely fancy themselves against a Newport side struggling for form and a win here they hope would really put them on course for a long run of wins following an excellent result last time out.
For our Newport vs. Walsall prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
