Notts County opened the scoring early against Gillingham through Daniel Crowley, but goals from Oliver Hawkins and Max Clark gave Gillingham the 2 - 1 lead at halftime. Conor Masterson added another in the second half to give Gillingham the 3 - 1 win. The Magpies bounced back the next time out against Newport County. A brace from Macaulay Langstaff and a goal from David McGoldrick gave Notts County the 3 - 1 win, with a 90th minute penalty from Will Evans acting as a consolation goal for Newport.

Despite having 74% of the possession, Notts County slumped to a 1 - 0 loss against Wrexham, with Steven Fletcher scoring the only goal of the game. An early goal from Mickey Demetriou and a penalty from Elliott Nevitt gave Crewe Alexandra the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. Josh Austerfield added a third, making Jim O’Brien’s goal obsolete as Crewe held on for the 3 - 1 win.

The last time out for Notts County was against Sutton United. Despite goals from Ryan Jackson and Harry Smith, a goal from Langstaff and Crowley’s first goal made it level at halftime. Olly Sanderson regained the lead for Sutton but Crowley’s second goal once again levelled the game. However, a penalty from Charlie Lakin gave Sutton the 4 - 3 win.

Wimbledon sit just above Notts County in tenth in League Two. In 36 games, Wimbledon have 13 wins, 12 draws and 11 losses which leaves them on 51 points, five points from the Play-offs.

Omar Bugiel opened the scoring for Wimbledon five minutes into the second half, but Chris Stokes equalised for Morecambe with 15 minutes to go. However, there were only four shots on target for the entire 90 minutes and both teams had to settle for a 1 - 1 draw. The next time out saw Danilo Orsi score the only goal of the game to give Crawley Town the 1 - 0 win over Wimbledon.

It was another 1 - 0 loss for Wimbledon, this time against Doncaster. Hakeeb Adelakun scored in the third minute, Doncaster holding onto that lead until the final whistle, with Wimbledon having just one shot on target. Wimbledon bounced back in a big game against MK Dons. Ronan Curtis left it late and grabbed a goal in the 94th minute to give Wimbledon the 1 - 0 win.
