              Notts County vs Doncaster Rovers Preview, Tips & Stats

              Meadow Lane hosts Notts County and Doncaster Rovers this Boxing Day in a big day in both halves of the table. Notts County are knocking on the door of the Play-offs, whereas Doncaster are hanging in close proximity to the relegation zone.

              Notts County currently sit sixth in League Two, in the last Play-off spot. In 23 games, Notts County have 11 wins, three draws and nine losses which leaves them on 36 points, seven points from automatic promotion.

              Adam Campbell opened the scoring in the tenth minute for Crawley Town, but goals from David McGoldrick, Jim O’Brien and Junior Morias gave Notts County the 3 - 1 win, despite having just 44% of the possession. In the Second round of the FA Cup, Notts County hosted Shrewsbury Town. Richard Brindley and James Sanderson were on the scoresheet for Notts County, but a hat-trick from Ryan Bowman gave Shrewsbury the 3 - 2 win.

              Back in League Two, Notts County took on Walsall. Aden Baldwin opened the scoring for Wrexham in the first half, but a brace from Oisin McEntee in the second half gave Walsall the 2 - 1 comeback win. Modou Faal did get Doncaster on the scoresheet, but Peterborough held on for the 2 - 1 win. Doncaster bounced back in the Football League Trophy against Nottingham Forest’s U21 team. Luke Molyneux, Kyle Hurst and Joe Ironside all scored in the 3 - 0 win for Doncaster.

              Doncaster and Accrington Stanley had to settle for a goalless draw, with Doncaster unable to register a single shot on target. Goals from Eli King, Jacob Bedeau and David Tutonda and a brace from Michael Mellon gave Morecambe the 5 - 0 win over Doncaster.

              The most recent outing for Doncaster was against Bradford City. Ironside opened the scoring in the seventh minute, but a brace from Andy Cook and a goal from Tyler Smith gave Bradford the 3 - 1 win.

              Notts County and Doncaster have met 58 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming all the way back in 1930. Nothing separates the two teams, with both having 25 wins to their names, with a draw being extremely uncommon, happening on only eight occasions.
