Salford City are looking to confirm their place in the League Two play-off places as they face Gillingham on Monday.
Salford currently sit 6th in League Two with twenty-two wins, nine draws and fourteen losses from forty-five games this season.
Salford have had a solid season in England fourth tier especially considering they lost one of their star players in Brandon Thomas-Asante to West Bromwich Albion early in the campaign.
They've managed to remain in the play-off hunt and they now enter this game with their destiny in their own hands as a draw guarantees them a spot in the top seven.
Even if they lose they could stay in the play-off spots as Mansfield Town must win and hope there is a four goal swing in the goal difference.
Things are looking good for Salford, then, and they enter this game in very good form having won four of their last five matches.
Their most recent game saw them beat fellow play-off contenders Carlisle United 3-2 away from home, a result that marked their third win on the bounce.
Salford are strong favourites for this game and it would be very surprising if they did not seal their spot in the play-offs with three points here.
Gillingham currently sit 18th in League Two with thirteen wins, thirteen draws and nineteen losses from forty-five games this season.
The Gills have have an undeniably successful season in League Two having turned their fortunes around drastically having looked a certainty for relegation early on in the campaign having been the worst offensive side in the country.
They enter this game in mixed form having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 1-2 defeat at home to Newport County.
Gillingham were also beaten 0-3 by Salford City when the two sides met in the league back in December so we know they don't match up well with their opponents.
Given Gillingham have nothing to play for it feels unlikely they'll head to an in-form side challenging for the play-offs and come away with a result.
For our Salford vs. Gillingham prediction, we're going for a 3-1 win for the home side.
