Barrow will look to keep up their unbeaten start to life in League Two with the men from Holker Street only dropping points once this season ahead of a trip to Edgeley Park where Stockport County are currently winless.
After making it to the playoff final and losing out on spot in League One in brutal fashion on penalties, County have struggled to find their feet in the new season. The Greater Manchester outfit kicked off their League Two campaign with a 1-0 loss to Gillingham at Edgeley Park.
They followed this up with a loss on penalties to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup first round and a 2-1 loss on the road to Walsall. County drew at home in the following game with a 1-1 clash against Bradford that saw Isaac Olafoe score off the bench. This is now David Challinor's third game at Edgeley Park this season and the club will head into this game as the favourites.
Barrow, however, come into this one after a 2-1 victory against Tranmere Rovers on the road on the opening weekend before suffering their first loss of the season when they were beaten by Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup first round. Barrow would defeat Sutton United 2-1 in their first and only home game of the season thereafter, as Emile Acquah and Jamie Proctor scored a goal each day.
Acquah scored in the following game against Accrington Stanley on the road, as Barrow came from behind to snatch a draw with a late goal. They will now be confident in getting the job done against a winless Stockport where they have already let in three goals at home.
