Swindon vs Walsall Prediction, Tips & Stats

Swindon Town are aiming to keep up their sensational goalscoring form this weekend when they welcome Walsall to County Ground on Saturday with the away side putting together a solid run of form so far too.

Walsall are sitting ninth in the early stages of this campaign after a struggle for previous years to put together a fight in the top 10. Heading into this one, the club have managed to win go. on an unbeaten run in the past three games since losing to Brighton & Hove Albion U21s. This has seen them defeat Colchester United with a winner from Iaac Hutchinson and also beat Salford City away from home with a finish each from Oisin McEntee and Freddie Draper.

Walsall now sit with the same amount of goals scored as they have conceded with 11 going in at either end, alongside three wins, two draws and two losses. The club's other win this season has seen them win a home game against Stockport County, while they have also lost to Wrexham and Morecambe.

Swindon are the highest scorers across the Football League right now with a stunning 20 goals in only six games. This has seen them bag five goals in a game on three separate occasions, including last fixture's 5-3 win over Sutton United, an incredible 6-0 hammering over Crewe Alexandra and a 5-5 draw with Wrexham earlier in the season.

Jake Young has been the star in this time, scoring nine of the 20 goals himself. What's more, Swindon's win of three wins and three draws alongside no defeats puts them as the only unbeaten team in League Two alongside Mansfield Town. Better yet, Charlie Austin and co. have a game in hand to play too, which could put them level with Gillingham if form continues in this way.

          Walsall team news

Isaac Hutchinson seems to be fit for Walsall here so he, Draper and Matt should all start for Walsall. Harry Williams may also get game time in this one.

          Swindon Town team news

Despite 20 goals from only six games for Swindon, Charlie Austin has scored only one of those with Jake Young bagging nine of the league finishes so far. Nevertheless, these two should start up top once again.

Tyrese Shade and Harrison Minturn both missed the match with Sutton and now likely feature here, as is the same for Rushian Hepburn-Murphy. Dan Kemp should remain in the side too, with the two latter names both scoring in ght 5-3 win over Sutton United. Jake Cain also bagged from midfield that day and should start here with George McEachran and Hutton.

Brewitt, Blke-Tracy and Godwin-Malife are all expected in defence with no new injuries in this area of the pitch.
