Tranmere Rovers and Gillingham are set to clash this weekend in League Two with the home side aiming to keep up their winning ways at Prenton Park with the Gills flying high in eighth place right now.
Gillingham struggled to get going for months from the start of last season and they now head into this game up in eighth with great hope of putting together a run towards the playoffs this campaign.
Before the match, the club have put together six wins so far and managed to lose four times too - this is the most games lost inside the top half of the table. What's more, the club's dreadful goalscoring record has continued with them now scoring only nine goals so far which sees them as the worst goalscoring side in the division with only 19th-placed Harrogate Town letting in more.
Gillingham have also not won a game for the past three matches, as they lost 2-1 to Doncaster Rovers two weeks ago before suffering another winless game at home when they drew 1-1 with Mansfield Town. The Gills have also lost to Crewe Alexandra during the week.
As for Tranmere, they have finally started to put together some wins after a terrible start to the season saw them down in the bottom two. They are, however, still only above the relegation spots by one place in 22nd, but they have now won two of their past three games.
This saw the Merseyside outfit defeat Accrington Stanley 2-0 with goals from Joshua Stuart Hawkes in either half, as they also beat Bradford City during the week in a 2-1 win that saw Regan Hendry get the game going before a winner from Kieron Morris.
