            Tranmere vs. Northampton Betting Tip

Northampton Town fans face a nail-biting ninety minutes as their side look to secure automatic promotion away at Tranmere Rovers in League Two on Monday.

Tranmere Rovers currently sit 11th in League Two with fifteen wins, thirteens draws and seventeen losses from forty-five games this season.

It's been a forgettable season for Tranmere with the Merseyside club having spent the majority of the campaign in the bottom half of the table.

They enter this game in solid form having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon.

Their form at home has been solid too having won two and drawn one of their last three games on home soil.

Tranmere need to tweak a few things over the summer if they are to kick on and challenge for the play-offs.

For now, they'll want the end the season with three points and if they do so they could be serious party poopers.

Northampton Town currently sit 3rd in League Two with twenty-two wins, fourteen draws and nine losses from forty-one games this season.

The Cobblers have had a very good season in League Two having spent the majority of it in and around the automatic promotion spot but it's now in danger of ending in tears as they enter this game needing to win to ensure promotion.

Stockport County are just two points behind them with a superior goal difference so if Northampton fail to win here they could well end up in the play-offs.

They enter this game in decent form overall having won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five games, but having lost 1-2 to Bradford City last time out there'll be some serious nerves coming into this one.

Northampton should take all three points here but it's not an easy fixture. They'll still back themselves but there's no doubt it'll be a tense occasion.

For our Tranmere vs. Northampton prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
