Monaco have everything to play for in their final game of the season after a recent run of form has seen the club drop out of the top five European spots for the first time in months ahead of playing hosts to Toulouse.
Monaco have hit a bad spell at the worst time this season with the club losing to Rennes last time out after two second half goals. It now means Rennes have moved ahead of them in the table into fifth and with Lille also losing, Monaco have dropped from fourth into sixth in the table.
The club are still sitting only behind Rennes on goals difference, however, and now come into this one knowing that they can still jump into fourth if they can win and Rennes and Lille lose. Their goals difference is only +13 after letting in 56 goals and scoring 69 from their 37 outings, so they can still end up outside of the European spots even if Rennes and Lille lose their games.
Monaco also lost 3-1 to Lyon prior to their defeat to Rennes in the last outing, as they also drew 0-0 with Lille in this time. After also losing in a stunning 4-0 defeat to Montpellier at home towards the end of April, it also means the only win for Monaco was in a 2-1 victory away to Angers.
As for Toulouse, they are in 13th and can move above Montpellier in 12th if they can win their game and Montpellier loses. It does, however, mean that there is very little to play for with Toulouse, as they can only drop into 14th if results go against them.
