Real Salt Lake vs. Orlando City Prediction, Tips & Stats

Two sides in good shape are set to lock horns in MLS this weekend as Real Salt Lake face Orlando City.

Real Salt Lake currently sit 4th in MLS's Western Conference with 8 wins, six draws and seven losses from twenty-one games this season.

It's been an impressive showing from the Utah side so far this campaign as they sit in a healthy position in the standings going into the final third of the regular season.

They're coming into this game in very good form, too, having gone unbeaten in their last five matches, winning three of their last four games.

Most recently, Real Salt Lake claimed 1-0 win away at Toronto courtesy of an Anderson Julio winner in the 92nd minute.

The nature of the victory will mean Real Salt Lake will have felt elated in light of the win and they will now look to carry that momentum over to this important encounter.

Their form at home is a big worry, however, with Real Salt Lake having failed to win any of their last six matches on home soil.

They desperately need to turn their home form around if they are to achieve what they set out to achieve this season and a win on their own patch against an impressive Orlando side could top wonders for that.

Orlando City current sit 6th in MLS's Eastern Conference with nine wins, seven draws and five losses from twenty-one games this season.

Orlando have been impressive so far this season and find themselves in a very healthy position in the standings amidst a very competitive Eastern Conference.

They're coming into this game in good form, too, having gone unbeaten in their last four games.

Their most recent encounter saw them thump Toronto FC 4-0 home soil, meaning they've now won both of their last two games by a combined scoreline of 7-1.

Their form away from home has been solid too, with Orlando winning two, drawing two and losing one of their last five games on the road.

These two sides haven't met for three years but Orlando have edged the recent head-to-head meetings having won two of the last four with Real Salt Lake winning one.

Orlando now have their eyes firmly on the postseason and a win here would mean they take another huge step towards that.

Real Salt Lake are a strong opponent but given their weak home form Orlando will feel like they can take advantage.

For our Real Salt Lake vs. Orlando City prediction, we're going for a 2-2 draw.

            Real Salt Lake Team News

Zack Farnsworth and Axel Kei are yet to feature for Real Salt Lake this season and continue to miss out here.

Erik Holt is also a long-term absentee and will not feature for the Utah outfit in this one.

            Orlando Team News

Abdi Salim will miss out for Orlando in this one but should be the away side's only absentee.

Cesar Araujo grabbed a goal and an assist in Orlando's 4-0 win last time out so he'll be hoping to further add to his tally here.
