Seattle Sounders vs. FC Dallas Prediction, Tips & Stats

We have a top seven clash in the West in MLS this weekend as Seattle Sounders face FC Dallas.

Seattle Sounders currently sit 3rd in MLS's Western Conference with ten wins, five draws and eight losses from twenty-three games this season.

Seattle are having a very strong campaign in MLS this season as they look to keep pace with LAFC and St. Louis City above them in the table.

They're coming into this game in fairly solid form having won two, drawn one and lost one of their last four matches, the most recent of which was a 2-0 loss away at San Jose Earthquakes.

Their form at home has been fairly mixed, however, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches on home soil.

Seattle are fairly in need of a win here if they're to avoid falling further adrift of the two sides above them and given they're coming off the back of a loss the win is likely necessary in order to avoid a fall in squad morale.

Fortunately for them, they're playing a Dallas side very much out of shape so they have no excuses for failing to win in front of their own fans here.

Dallas currently sit 7th in MLS's Western Conference eight wins, five draws and nine losses from twenty-two games this season.

Dallas have had a rollercoaster campaign in terms of form this time out even though they find themselves inside the Final Series positions they will still feel as though they've got plenty of room to improve.

They're coming into this game very much out of form having won one and lost four of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 2-1 loss away at Colorado Rapids.

Their form away from home is even more concerning entering this game having failed to win any of their last five on the road, losing their last four on the bounce.

Seattle have had the better of the head-to-head meetings of late having won two of the last three encounters between these two sides with Dallas winning the other.

Both sides need to win this one but given Dallas' form away from home it looks as though claiming three points is a hopeful endeavour.

For our Seattle vs. Dallas prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.

          Seattle Team News

Sota Kitahara and Ethan Dobbelaere continue to miss out for the home side through injury.

Xavier Arreaga will also be absent from this tie while Stefan Frei and Kelyn Rowe are both major doubts.

          Dallas Team News

Dallas are plagued with a lengthy injury list as they come into this game without Antonio Martinez, Geovane Jesus and Paxton Pomykal.

Tarik Scott remains a long-term absentee while this game likely comes too soon for Jesus Jimenez and Ema Twumasi.
