Toronto vs. Nashville Prediction, Tips & Stats

Nashville SC are looking to keep place with Cincinnati at the top of the Eastern Conference as they face Toronto FC in MLS this weekend.

Toronto currently sit 12th in MLS's Eastern Conference with three wins, nine draws and five losses from seventeen games this season.

It's been a pretty glum campaign for Toronto with their season being marred by off-field controversy and speculation surrounding many high profile names in the squad, and that has been reflected in their results with the Canadian side struggling for form.

They enter this game having won just one of their last eight matches, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw away at Minnesota United.

Their form at home has not been much more promising either, with Toronto winning just one of their last five on home soil.

Toronto still only five points shy of the play-off places so there's no need to panic yet, but they need to address whatever is going on behind the scenes if a talented squad is to fulfil its potential.

Unfortunately, they face a tough game here while in need of three points.

Nashville currently sit 2nd in MLS's Eastern Conference with nine wins, four draws and three losses from sixteen games this season.

Nashville have had a strong campaign in MLS this year and they'll hope to maintain their strong form throughout the year as they head into the play-offs.

They're coming into this game amidst a very impressive run having won four of their last five games.

Their most recent encounter saw them prevail away at Dallas in a 2-1 win courtesy of an own goal followed by a Hany Mukhtar goal.

Their form away from home is slightly more rocky, however, having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road, but they've won two of their last three away games so there's still plenty of reason to be optimistic.

Nashville have lost two of their last three meetings with Toronto so they'll be desperate to get one back here, and given the respective form of the two sides you'd have to make them favourites.

For our Toronto vs. Nashville prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
