Belgium take on Turkey in the Nations League this week with both sides in need of three points.
Belgium came into this Nations League campaign looking to build off the back of a promising World Cup.
The European side were forced into a managerial change following the summer after Rudi Garcia left his role as head coach, with Belgium opting to replace him with Mark van Bommel.
Van Bommel's tenure has goten off to a promsing start, with Belgium winning 2-0 away to Italy in their opening game. Following that, they succumbed to a narrow 0-1 loss to France where Michael Olise scored a very late wonder goal.
Signs have been encouraging in their opening encounters under Van Bommel, and with some promising young players coming through there is a belief that Belgium can become very competitive once again.
Their overall form is good, with only two defeats from their last ten. Four of their last six games have seen both BTTS and over 2.5 goals occur, so we could well see those themes continue here.
Turkey come into the game in poor shape. The South Eastern European side had a very poor World Cup campaign where they were knocked out at the group stage despite being drawn in one of the easier groups, and they enter this one off the back of successive Nations League defeats.
Turkey were beaten 0-1 by France in their opener in what was a respectable performance, but their second game saw them fall to a 1-4 hammering at the hands of a struggling Italy side.
The result means Turkey have now lost four of their last five games, and given the quality in their team on paper, the pressure is really on manager Vincenzo Montella.
BTTS and over 2.5 goals have occurred in three of Turkey's last six games so we expect this game to produce a few goals, but we fancy the Belgians to emerge victorious.
Belgium 3-1 Turkey
