Denmark will be aiming to impress here, as they were knocked out of Euro 2024 at the Round of 16 stage by host nation, Germany, having after a slightly underwhelming performance in Group C that saw them draw all three matches against Slovenia, England and Serbia.
In the Nations League, the Danes finished second in League A Group 4 on eight points from six matches, a mere eight points shy of group winners Spain, but two points clear of Serbia in third and six points ahead of Switzerland.
Portugal’s Euro 2024 performance was fairly underwhelming, as despite topping Group F, they exited the competition at the quarter-finals stage after losing on penalties to France after a 0-0 draw. They will be expected to perform well in this competition while producing a series of better performances.
So far, Roberto Martinez’s men are unbeaten in the Nations League, as they accumulated 14 points from six matches in League A Group 1 to comfortably finish ahead of the likes of Croatia, Scotland and Portugal.
