Scotland are hoping to rebound from a resounding defeat in midweek as they lock horns with North Macedonia in the Nations League this weekend.
North Macedonia are currently bottom of Nations League Group E with no points from two games. The Balkan side were beaten 0-3 by Switzerland in their opening game before falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Slovenia on Tuesday night.
Their overall form is very poor, with no wins from their last ten games, losing all of their last three on the bounce. They're struggling immensely in front of goal too, having failed to score in any of their last six matches. In their last ten games they've scored only two goals, with four of those ten games ending in a 0-0 draw.
Scotland, meanwhile, have one point from two Nations League games. Sebastien Pocognoli's men drew 0-0 away to Slovenia before losing 0-3 at home to Switzerland in midweek.
Jack Henry was sent off for a last man challenge early in the game and after Switzerland's Ricardo Rodriguez netted the resulting free-kick, Scotland's night was essentially over.
The result means Scotland now have only three wins from their last nine games and no wins from their last four.
Like North Macedonia, Scotland have struggled in front of goal and have failed to score in any of their last four matches. In fact, the Scots have failed to score in six of their last nine outings.
All of this does not, then, bode well for those hoping for an entertaining affair. Given both teams' form and their issues at the top end of the pitch, we think this will be a stalemate.
