Arsenal vs. Brighton Prediction, Tips & Stats

Arsenal are looking to keep the pressure on Manchester City as they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal are currently 2nd in the Premier league with twenty-five wins, six draws and four losses from thirty-five games this season.

The Gunners have had a fantastic campaign and regardless of what happens from here they've exceeded most sensible expectations coming into the season.

However, if they don't win the league there'll be an extremely sour taste left in the mouths of all associated with the club having led the way at the top of the table for the majority of the season, only for a four-match winless run that culminated in a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad see them usurped at the top of the league by their title rivals.

They are now seemingly back in track, however, as they enter this game off the back of a two-match winning run having beaten Chelsea 3-1 before claiming an impressive 2-0 win away at Newcastle United last time out.

The win at Newcastle was a huge one for Arsenal as St. James' Park is proving ever more a fortress as time goes by and The Gunners were forced to weather an early onslaught in a raucous atmosphere before professional gaining control of the game.

Arsenal will fancy themselves to win all three of their remaining matches but that may not be enough to win the Premier League title.

They face a good side here but with home advantage on their side they should see the game through.

Brighton currently sit 7th in the Premier League with sixteen wins, seven draws and ten losses from thirty-three games this season.

The Seagulls have had an outstanding campaign as they chase a top six finish, something that would see them claim a Europa League place.

That fate is still well within their grasp, too, but they enter this game off the back of a shock 1-5 defeat at home to relegation-threatened Everton last time out.

The loss is a pretty inexplicable one for The Seagulls who simply did not show up on Monday and were thoroughly outplayed by their opponents.

Brighton entered the game off the back of a two-match winning run by a combined scoreline of 7-0, so it could be that Roberton De Zerbi's side had allowed complacency to creep in.

They're still very well placed to overtake Tottenham Hotspur in 6th as they sit just two points behind them having played two games fewer, but they cannot afford to perform as they did against Everton or they likely won't win another game this season.

For our Arsenal vs. Brighton prediction, we're going for a 3-1 win for the home side.

            Arsenal Team News

News broke on Thursday that Arsenal are set to be without William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko for the remainder of the season in what is a huge blow for Mikel Arteta as they join Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu on the treatment table.

Expect Kieran Tierney to start at left-back with Jakub Kiwior continuing alongside Gabriel at centre-back.

Jorginho is also expected to retain his place in midfield at the expense of Thomas Partey.

            Brighton Team News

The Seagulls enter this game without Tariq Lamptey, Jeremy Sarmiento, Joël Veltman, Adam Lallana and Jake Moder while Solly March is a doubt.

Expect a couple of changes at least to the starting lineup following the heavy defeat against Everton on Monday with Levi Colwill, Julio Enciso and Evan Ferguson all in with a shout of a place in the starting XI.
