Brighton & Hove Albion look to bounce back from their midweek defeat against Aston Villa, as they take on a West Ham United side that had picked up a valuable point at Old Trafford on Thursday.
The Seagulls are still in good form despite the slip-up against the Villains, as the home side have picked up 10 points from their last 15 available. The positive for Brighton & Hove Albion is that their home form remains relatively strong in spite of the dropped points in midweek, with four wins, two draws and a single defeat for Fabian Hurzeler's men. The home side have had West Ham United's number in recent meetings, as the Seagulls have remained unbeaten in the last three meetings between the two sides.
As for West Ham United, the Hammers would have been pleased by the fight shown in their 1-1 draw against Manchester United; however, that draw still leaves the visitors for this game with no wins in their last three matches. Away from home, Nuno Espirito Santo's side has not tasted victory since the end of August, going five games on the road without picking up a single win. Defensively, the Hammers have been suspect as well, as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 11 matches.
We expect Brighton to show a lot more attacking intent than the woeful display Manchester United showed in midweek, as at home, the Seagulls have scored 2.1 goals per game, including three in midweek. With that being said, we can see a 3-1 win for the hosts.
Brighton 3-1 West Ham
